In our area you can find signs of humankind and its thousand-year relationship with nature, where the Middle Ages coexist with the future. Villages, fortresses, castles and medieval parish churches surround us and lie along the ancient routes of communication. We are located in the Municipality of Pomarance, once at the centre of legal disputes over its possession between the bishops and the Municipality of Volterra. We are in the heart of the Val di Cecina.
The outdoor areas
Agriturismo La Carraia is a peaceful place where you can enjoy a healthy and relaxing holiday in every season. Surrounded by greenery, the swimming pool offers moments of complete relaxation in contact with nature. In spring and summer, between the sea and the countryside; in autumn, during the olive harvest; and in winter, with food and wine events at the many festivals celebrating Tuscan cuisine and local products.

Swimming pool

Free! A large and comfortable swimming pool is available. The pool is equipped with a water recycling and filtration system operating 24 hours a day, ensuring that the water is always clean and clear. Opening hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The pool is also suitable for children, as it is 110 centimetres deep at one end and 215 centimetres at the other. It is also lit underwater for relaxing evening swims. Large parasols and plenty of sun loungers are available. You can sunbathe at any time of day, as the pool is exposed to the sun from morning until evening. Enjoy your swim!
The interiors
Nestled in the Tuscan countryside, among cypress trees, rolling hills and picture-postcard views, our agriturismo is an oasis of peace and tranquillity. Here we restored an old farmhouse in keeping with the rustic Tuscan style, preserving its authentic charm. Three comfortable apartments have been created from the old carriage house, each completely self-contained and independent. They are equipped with everything needed for a pleasant and carefree holiday.

All the furniture is new, while the reclaimed furnishings have been carefully restored, respecting their original craftsmanship in order to preserve the charm and authentic character of the house.
Each apartment offers a spacious living room with kitchen, tastefully furnished and equipped with every modern comfort. Guests can cook independently or take inspiration from traditional Tuscan country recipes.
Two apartments feature spacious and bright bedrooms with one double bed and two single beds, while the third apartment has a bedroom with a double bed.
The bathrooms are carefully finished, furnished with quality materials, fully equipped and fitted with comfortable showers.
