La Carraia finds to half road between these
two only truths: from a part the mysterious fascination
of Volterra, Etruscan city, medieval Roman and - 3000
history years ;-) from the other the natural beauty
of a dantesco landscape, ' the valley of the devil ',
and the industrial exploitation of the geothermal vapor
given off bowels of the earth, thanks to Francisco De
Larderel, and later on to Prince Ginori-Conti. (the
street paper of the Cecina Valley)
